If you don't have a passport to return to China, you need to explain it according to different situations.

1. Citizens' passports for going abroad are lost, stolen or unusable; Apply for a travel permit of the People's Republic of China to China's embassies and consulates abroad or other overseas institutions entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2. Seafarers working on foreign ships; Entry and exit with seaman's certificate.

3. Illegally residing abroad without a passport; Contact and consult with China embassies and consulates abroad in time.

Materials and supporting documents:

1, passport or other identification documents (original and photocopy);

2. Fill in the complete "Application Form for Passport, Travel Document and Seaman's Certificate";

Note: If the applicant does not have a passport, the embassy or consulate must verify the identity of the applicant with the relevant domestic authorities before going through the relevant formalities.
