Is it convenient for you to go abroad for meetings (and visa issues) during your RA study in Hong Kong (the summer vacation before the doctoral program starts)?

No problem at all. As long as your undergraduate research experience is the same as your three-month research project, you can organize a conference paper within three months. After all, the requirements for attending international conferences are lower than those of SCI, and it takes two or three months from the first round of submission to participation. Even if you contribute, you will be registered at the meeting. In fact, there is no need to attend the meeting. As a doctoral student, the oral report of the annual international conference is necessary. It is said that HKU does not have many funds. I attend 1~2 international conferences in America every year.
