Where is Hotan, Xinjiang?

Hotan area is located at the southernmost tip of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. South pillow Kunlun mountains and Karakorum mountains, north into the hinterland of Taklimakan desert. It borders Qiemo County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in the east, Yecheng, Mohammad and bachu county in Kashgar in the west, Shaya and Awati in Aksu in the north and Xizang Autonomous Region in the south.

The southwest is adjacent to the actual control area of India and Pakistan in Kashmir, which is about 670 kilometers long from east to west, 600 kilometers wide from north to south, and the boundary line is 264 kilometers long.
