Social undertakings in Changping

Before liberation, the culture was extremely backward because it was located in a mountainous area. During the period from1935 to1948, only Mr. Wang started a private school and enrolled more than 20 students from four towns. Most students drop out of school to learn their own names, that is, drop out of school to farm. Therefore, people have to find ghostwriters everywhere to write letters, read words and write couplets in the countryside.

After liberation, the government attached great importance to education and training talents, and established Miluogou Central Primary School, with one or two hundred students and more than one teacher per 10. After emigrating to Changping Village, governments at all levels, especially Changping Village Branch, spared no effort to invest human and financial resources, built two high-standard teaching buildings in the west of the village, improved audio-visual equipment, accommodated more than 500 students and more than 20 teachers, and became the fourth central primary school in Changdai Township, with two kindergarten classes, so that all children over three years old could receive preschool education, and no child in the village dropped out.

Before liberation, Wang Wubei, a famous doctor in Miluogou, went to Jiyuan in the north, Luoyang suburb in the south, Xin 'an County in the west and Jin Meng Old Town in the east. He is good at treating typhoid fever, and there is an endless stream of people seeking medical treatment. However, due to the war and backward social conditions at that time, the villagers were less ill, and the average life expectancy was over 30 years old. More than half of the people aged 50-60 would die, and there were only two or three elderly people in the village.

After liberation, 1955 established a clinic, and 1967 established cooperative medical care. Duan Tingjun, Wang Zujia, Wang Junfeng and Shen Beichen have greatly changed the medical conditions of the villagers. Minor illnesses are not allowed to leave the village, and epidemic prevention is carried out in all seasons. By 1990, the average life expectancy in the village has increased to 50 years, and the number of elderly people in a natural village has increased from two to two. After moving to Changping village, village cadres and village committees paid more attention to it, and the whole village took the lead in setting up cooperative medical care. With the active participation of all the villagers, the health level of all the people has been significantly improved.
