Liushan Town has been the poverty alleviation contact point for municipal leaders since 2012. Liushan Town is located in the northwest of Liujiang County, 35 kilometers away from Liuzhou City and 45 kilometers away from the county seat. It has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee, with a total population of 21,753. The town is dominated by mountainous and hilly landforms. It is a township based on agriculture and a combination of animal husbandry and forestry. In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in the town was 6,302 yuan, making it the poorest town in the county.

Accompanied by the relevant leaders of Liujiang County, Chairman Wu Hua and his party came to the Liushan Town Government to have discussions with the local party committee and government leaders to understand the situation and development ideas.
