How do mainlanders live in Taiwan Province Province for a long time?

According to Article 25 of the Entry-Exit Administration Law, foreigners have legally lived in Taiwan Province Province for five consecutive years, and the annual residence time exceeds 183 days, or they are nationals registered in Taiwan Province Province. The legal spouse and children have lived in Taiwan Province Province for more than 10 years, of which 183 days each year have the right of abode for five years. Those who meet the requirements can apply to the Immigration Bureau for permanent residency.

Paragraph 4 of Article 33 stipulates that a holder of a permanent residence permit who has not lived for 183 days in a year will have his permanent residence permit cancelled or revoked.

Chinese mainland residents may apply to settle in Taiwan under any of the following circumstances:

1. The spouses of people in Taiwan Province Province have been married for two years or have given birth to children.

2. Other factors based on politics, economy, society, education, science and technology or culture, which are deemed necessary by the competent authority.

3. In the first case mentioned in the preceding paragraph, if the spouse in Taiwan Province Province remarries before 1976 1 1 month/day, the remarried spouse applies for approval.

Under any of the following circumstances, the public security organ may force Chinese mainland personnel who enter Taiwan Province Province to leave the country without waiting for the start or end of the judicial process:

3. Engage in activities or workers inconsistent with the permitted purpose.

4. Those who believe in crime.
