What are Boers?

"Bohr" is Dutch, which means "farmer". Boers are descendants of Dutch immigrants in South Africa and are white. The Dutch first colonized the Cape of Good Hope at the southern tip of Africa. Boers refer to the descendants of the Dutch who colonized southern Africa. 1652, the first Dutch people came to Cape, South Africa, and established a colony. After more than 100 years of colonial activities, Boer people have become the main ethnic group in the area. But the Boers did not rule South Africa. 1795, the British fleet landed in Cape, South Africa, and began a century-long battle with the Boers in South Africa. 18 14 years, "Cape Colony @ People's Land" became Britain, and British immigrants swarmed in, bringing their own laws and lifestyles, thus weakening the privileges of the Boers.

There have been two Boer wars in history. The first Boer War took place from 1880 to 188 1, and the second Boer War took place from 1899 to 1902. It was the descendants of British and Dutch immigrants who established two Boers to re-divide the South African colony. Also known as the South African War and the Boer War.
