Aidian Port was built in the 22nd year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1896). Aidian Port, formerly known as Zhimaxun, is one of the earliest flood control ports in Guangxi and has now developed into the world's largest border trade market for Chinese herbal medicines.

Aidian Port is a kind of land border port, which belongs to Aidian Town, Ningming County, Guangxi. Located at the boundary pillar of Guangxi East Road 1223- 1224 on the Sino-Vietnamese border, opposite the Chima Port in Vietnam. Aidian Port is connected with three highways along the border, which is190km east of dongxing city.
