Because it was dangerous and solid, it was called "Iron Gate Pass" and was listed as one of the twenty-six passes in ancient China.

The iron gate has two floors. The lower floor is the door opening of the building foundation, and the upper floor is the ancient building on the top of the mountain, surrounded by cornices. Originally, the three characters "Iron Gate Pass" were engraved on the pass. I don't know when the characters were changed again, and became the four characters "Silk Road Xiongguan".

The British soldiers refused to let them pass, so the Italian soldiers demolished the wall nearby, dug a large hole in the Great Wall, and installed an iron gate in the hole. As a result, local people became accustomed to calling it "Iron Gate Pass".

The Iron Gate Pass of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty is located in Qianxi County, Tangshan City, at the junction of Tangshan and Chengde. This pass is extremely dangerous.
