How do I apply for an Australian visiting scholar visa?

The application process you can handle by yourself:

Step 1: Contact the teacher at the Australian school.

Step 2: After contacting you, the other party will ask you to provide: scanned copies of the first page of your passport and proof of consent from your employer (stamp required); fill in the form provided by the other party and send it over.

Step 3: The waiting process

Provide birth certificate (copies of ID cards of both parents required), no criminal record, degree certificate, academic certificate, marriage certificate and translation, etc. Give the information to the other party and it will take about 2 weeks.

Step 4: After about two weeks, if there is no problem, you will receive an invitation letter from the other party, sign it and send it back to the other party. If you need a nomination application letter, you will receive an email from the Australian school in about a week, saying that the nomination application letter has been submitted.

Step 5: After nomination, wait about 1 week to receive the receipt from the Australian Immigration Bureau from the other school, print it out, and then hand it to the Australian Ambassador along with other materials. Apply for visa at the Embassy.

Step 6: Wait for about 2 weeks to receive the nomination guarantee letter from the Australian Immigration Bureau from the other school, and submit the electronic version of the materials to the embassy online. At the same time, go to the hospital designated by the embassy for a physical examination.
