Its main peak towers into the clouds, looking like a blooming lotus, hence the name Lotus Mountain. According to my grandfather, our ancestors migrated from the south. As early as the early Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang implemented the immigration policy and moved our ancestors from Nanjing, Jiangsu to Gannan. They have lived at the foot of the mountains for more than 600 years. Our ancestors were not afraid of hardships and difficulties, they worked hard and were diligent and brave. The environment has also created their character as straight as a green pine, as tough as a mountain peak, and as pure as a lotus! They pass on from generation to generation, multiply and build a beautiful home.

There is a plaque hanging in the middle of the main hall of my hometown, with four big characters gilded on it: "Farming and reading are passed on to the family." Naturally, my father also went to college and now works in the water and electricity department of the Gannan Prefecture government. When it comes to my generation, conditions are even better. We moved our family to Hehe City, where the state capital is located, and I went to elementary school there. After my grandparents retired, they bought a house in Lanzhou to enjoy their old age. So I followed my grandparents to Lanzhou, the provincial capital, to go to school. Therefore, I want to inherit the fine family tradition of my ancestors, work hard, study hard, and be a teacher when I grow up. Agricultural scientists use advanced agricultural technology to help the hard-working villagers develop modern agriculture, increase food production, improve lives, get rid of poverty and become rich, build homes and repay their hometown.

The folks who live in the mountains also pay great attention to protecting the environment, caring for the forest, and protecting the forest. They always remember that the green mountains are always there and use them sustainably. My grandfather is almost 70 years old. He also organizes villagers to plant trees on a voluntary basis, patrol and protect mountains to prevent outsiders from illegally cutting down trees.
