The name of this new visa is "High Potential Individual" (abbreviated as HPI). According to the applicant's degree level, foreign university graduates who have successfully obtained HPI visas will be allowed to work and stay in the UK for two to three years.

The British Home Office recently published a list of top foreign universities that meet the HPI visa requirements, and only 37 universities were selected. It is said that this visa is equivalent to an overseas PSW visa, and there is no quota limit. All foreigners who graduated from these 37 universities within five years can apply for this visa.

According to this visa program, applicants who have successfully obtained bachelor's or master's degrees from top foreign universities can work in the UK for two years, no matter which country they were born in. Married people can also bring their spouses and children to the UK. If you have a doctorate from a top foreign university, you can work in the UK for three years.

Most importantly, unlike some visa programs in the past, the visa program for high-potential talents does not require the applicant to obtain an employer's employment contract before applying. After coming to Britain, they don't need to be tied to a specific employer, they can change companies at any time or start their own businesses.

If they meet the relevant conditions, they can transfer to other long-term employment visas after the visa expires, or further, apply for permanent resident status in the UK.
