The situation of young Russian immigrants

According to the provisions of the Russian Federation:

Foreign citizens who have reached the age of 18 can apply for Russian citizenship, and the conditions to be met are as follows:

1. Foreign citizens applying for Russian citizenship must master Russian. As for how to determine the level of Russian, there will be special regulations.

2. In order to obtain Russian citizenship, foreigners or stateless persons must live in the country continuously for at least five years and stay abroad for no more than three months each year.

3. (This article is applicable to the former Soviet Union's accession to the Republic of China, not to people) Foreigners who were born in the former Soviet Union, hold passports of the former Soviet Union, or have been married to Russian citizens for more than three years, and those who have made great contributions to Russia in the fields of science, technology and culture have the right to apply for Russian citizenship as long as they have lived in Russia for 1 year.

4. Applicants must give up their original nationality when they become Russian citizens.
