Yongjia County was established.

Yongjia County was founded in 527, which can be traced back to the Southern Dynasties.

Yongjia County is a county-level administrative division with a long history, which is located in the south of Zhejiang Province in China today, including Wenzhou, Ruian, Yongjia, wencheng county and Taishun. Yongjia County will be introduced in detail from three aspects: historical origin, development and administrative division.

The first is the historical origin. The history of Yongjia County can be traced back to Nanliang period. At that time, there were three counties, namely Qiaonan, Southwest and Dongyang, which were divided into Yongjia County and located in Xinyang Town (now wencheng county). Later, Wan 'an Army was established in the Tang Dynasty and stationed in Yantou Town (now Yongjia County). Yongjia County was divided into two parts, renamed Yongjia Army. Since then, Yongjia Army has gradually evolved into today's administrative divisions through planning and adjustment in Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Secondly, development and evolution. Yongjia Army in Tang Dynasty was an important military administrative region, which governed Wenzhou, Rui 'an, Yongjia, Wencheng and Taishun counties. After hundreds of years of historical evolution and development, Yongjia area has been growing and growing, and has been subordinate to many local administrative agencies such as Dongyang, Taizhou and Shaoxing.

After 1950, with the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the reform of administrative system, Yongjia area has gradually evolved into a county-level administrative division, which has jurisdiction over several township streets.

Finally, administrative divisions. At present, Yongjia County has been divided into five districts (counties), covering Wenzhou, Ruian, Yongjia, wencheng county and Taishun. Yongjia County is the core area of Yongjia County and the political, economic, cultural and transportation center of the county. In addition, there are many natural landscapes and historical and cultural heritages in Yongjia County, such as Yandang Mountain, Watermelon Mountain, Wuhu Mountain and Wencheng Ancient City, which are also important resources for tourism in Yongjia County.
