Chen Helong's old house, located in Ruoshan Bay, is made of wood and stone. The whole building complex includes two facades and four houses, a small garden and a stone fortress, with a total construction area of about 600 square meters.

The west building in the back seat is a quadrangle, and the main hall and the front building are built on the mountain, with the rear high and the front low. It is the earliest building of the Chen family and later used as a kitchen and servant residence. The two rooms in the east building of the back seat are residential buildings, named "Lu Zhensheng". The stone bunker in Helong Old House is similar to that in the whole Ruoshan Stone Pond. It is a square stone building with four corners and no roof, so it is designed to prevent bandits from robbing. Mr. Gucci (1864 ~ 1944) was an associate degree in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. When he came to Ruoshan to give a lecture on 1930, he wrote The Story of Chen's Small Garden, which was just over 200 words. He put the original inscriptions of Chen's Bu Ruo, Moved from Mindong and Engaged in the small garden, which are now collected by the Municipal Cultural Management Committee.

Chen Helong's former residence is a unique stone mansion in the coastal fishing area. Doors, windows, columns and railings are all bluestone, with patterns and calligraphy inscriptions and exquisite carvings. A pair of bluestone couplets at the entrance, "Old Germany goes back to East Lake diligently, and the new branch is an island family biography", reflects the history that Chen Fa originated from East Lake in Hui 'an, Fujian and Ruoshan, Wenling, Zhejiang. The front seat faces the bay, the balcony railing is carved with flowers, and the bluestone fence is engraved with the eight characters of "peace and happiness" and "loyalty and sincerity" There are many sandwich walls between the front, back, left and right buildings, and tunnels, darkrooms and secret doors are connected. In the war-torn era, it can prevent theft and robbery, forming a defense system with towering fortresses and strong walls. The whole village took 20 years to build. It is really "building a house by the mountain and building a thatched cottage by the sea", with a strange and exquisite structure. Although its small garden has been unrecognizable, only a corner is left, there is still a wisteria which is 100 years old and survived by luck. In June, 2003, 1 1, Wenling Municipal Government put up a "provincial protection board for ancient and famous trees", with the protection level of "national third class". The whole house is listed as a municipal cultural relics protection unit.
