Dingxi City, commonly known as "Longzhong", is a prefecture-level city in Gansu Province, People's Republic of China (PRC) (China), located in the middle of Gansu Province. Dingxi City, with a total area of 1.96 million square kilometers, is located at the intersection of the Loess Plateau, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the West Qinling Mountains. Its terrain is high in the southwest and low in the northeast, and its terrain is complex and diverse. Dingxi, with a long history, is an important birthplace of the Yellow River civilization of the Chinese nation, the named place of Majiayao culture, the place where Li Xungen worships his ancestors, and the meeting place of prehistoric cultures such as Siwa and Xindian. There are national key cultural relics protection units such as Weiyuan Building in Longxi, Baling Bridge in Weiyuan and Wang Shiyuan Tomb in Zhang Xian. Dingxi, known as "the gateway of Lanzhou and the throat of Gansu", is an important passage between the ancient Silk Road and the ancient Tang-Fan Road and an important intersection of transportation in western China. Baolan High-speed Railway, lanzhou-chongqing railway, G30 Lianhuo Expressway, G22 Qinglan Expressway and G75 Lanhai Expressway pass through the territory. Dingxi City is an important node city of the "Belt and Road" and the new land and sea passage in the west. It has become an important radiation area of Lanxi urban agglomeration and Guanzhong Tianshui Economic Zone, and has been deeply integrated into the "Lanzhou One-hour Core Economic Circle". Chinese herbal medicine industry and potato industry are the pillar industries of Dingxi economy.
