2. School history

The predecessor of Shangqiu Teachers College can be traced back to 1955, when Henan No.1 Normal School was founded. 1958, the school was renamed Henan Normal University.

In 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Henan Teachers College was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Shangqiu Teachers College.
