Silicon-manganese alloy hardness

The hardness of Si-Mn alloy is 52HRC. According to relevant published data, when smelting Si-Mn alloy, Si and Mn are reduced from molten manganese silicate, and MnO is easy to be reduced, while SiO is difficult to be reduced. In order to fully reduce SiO to ensure alloy composition, low alkalinity slag should be selected from the point of view of controlling slag composition, and the lower the alkalinity, the better.
