Members of the Red Bull Aerobatic Team

Captain: Zhao Wei (Chinese)

Zhao Wei, born in Shenyang in 1976, is the captain and one of the founders of the Chinese Red Bull Aerobatic Team and is known as China's Incomparable Flying Team. The first person to perform restricted aerobatics. Aerobatics are divided into beginner, intermediate, sportsman, advanced and unrestricted levels, with unrestricted aerobatic being the highest level.

Being born in a rural area cannot hinder my love for flying

In people’s impression, airplane-related sports are exclusive to the rich and cannot be carried out without sufficient funds. Zhao Wei, who was born in a rural area, proved that his love for flying has nothing to do with money, but is closely connected with his dream. Zhao Wei has been fond of airplanes and yearned for the blue sky since he was a child. When I was a child, I lived in a farmyard and used corn stalks to make airplane models. And he never gave up his dream of the blue sky. From playing with model airplanes to reading aviation magazines, Zhao Wei gradually accumulated a wealth of aviation knowledge.

Resolutely went to sea and got into contact with extreme sports

After graduating from Shenyang University of Technology in 2000, Zhao Wei entered a large domestic power equipment company to work. In 2008, he quit his job and started his own company. He began to practice hang gliding and paramotoring in his spare time. At the same time, he was also exposed to some extreme sports, such as downhill mountain climbing, motocross, motorboating, water paddling, surfing, etc. Through these exercises, Zhao Wei developed a strong body and quick reflexes. Feeling the aerobatics, he decided to develop the Chinese aerobatic industry

After watching the XA42 aircraft perform aerobatic performances in Laiwu, Shandong in 2010, the flying dream rooted in Zhao Wei's heart was touched again, and he decided to try it himself. idea. Zhao Wei began to search for information in many places and learned that very few people in China were engaged in aerobatic flying, and no one had touched it at the unrestricted level, so he made up his mind to be the first in China. Among the many aerobatic aircraft, Zhao Wei finally selected the XA42 super aircraft, the most expensive and top-notch aircraft in the world, as his learning goal. In 2011, Zhao Wei traveled across the ocean to Germany to conduct an on-site inspection of the XA42 aircraft. After the inspection and test flight, Zhao Wei was full of confidence in himself and believed that he would be able to master aerobatics and bring unlimited super flying back to China.

Establish a flying team and strive to win glory for the country

In 2011, Zhao Wei obtained a "single-engine land" pilot's license at the Anyang Aviation School in Henan. Subsequently, Zhao Wei went to Germany four times to receive unrestricted aerobatic training. For other pilots, aerobatic training generally only arranges half an hour of training time in the morning and afternoon, because aerobatic training will cause a large degree of physical and psychological fatigue to the pilot. But Zhao Wei trains very hard and spends twice as much time as an ordinary pilot on aerobatic training every day. Coupled with his extraordinary talent, after only more than 200 hours of training, Zhao Wei mastered the skill known as "flight that challenges the limits of mankind" and became the first person in China to fly an unrestricted aerobatic aircraft. There are only about 100 pilots flying at the highest level in the world. After completing his studies, Zhao Wei resolutely returned to China and became a "pioneer" in the Chinese folk unrestricted aerobatic sport.

After completing his studies, Zhao Wei plans to buy his own aircraft and use flight performances and film and television commercial shooting as financial support to support his daily training and preparation for the World Aerobatic Championships. Due to financial constraints, Zhao Wei could only afford one XA42 aircraft at first; however, with the help of friends, he eventually purchased four aircraft, established a flying team, and invited five friends he met during training in Germany to join. own team. With the help of friends and the sponsorship of Red Bull, China's first unrestricted aerobatic team - the Red Bull Aerobatic Team was finally established! The foreign members of the Red Bull Aerobatic Team are all the world's top aerobatic pilots and are among the top ten in the World Aerobatic Championship rankings. Among them, Mark Hensman was the performance captain of the South African National Aerobatic Team. He has been engaged in aerobatic flying for more than 20 years. He has participated in international aerobatic championships many times and is an outstanding representative of South African aerobatic flying. He has loved flying since he was a child and is now a passenger aircraft pilot living in Wuhan. Mark Campbell is also a member of the South African national team at the World Aerobatic Championships. He has participated in the World Championships many times and achieved impressive results.

In addition to the two Mr. Marks, the third South African in the team, Scott Ternent, is young and handsome. He once served in the South African Air Force and served as the captain of the South African aerobatic team. He has led the flying team to perform chilling aerobatics many times, demonstrating South Africa's national strength. He has demonstrated excellent leadership and flying skills, and has been welcomed by audiences from all over the world.
