I am a post-60s generation. I was nearly 40 years old when I studied piano, and it has been almost 20 years now. I have been interested in music since I was a child. But when I was a child, I grew up in the countryside, and I didn't have the conditions to touch musical instruments, let alone the piano. I taught myself guitar in college, so I learned a few tunes because there was no teacher to teach me.

In 2000, I enrolled in an adult piano training class and studied with my teacher for about 4 to 5 years. In fact, few people can insist on taking adult piano lessons. Fortunately, I am one of them.

At first, I didn't even know the staff, and I didn't know much about music theory. Under the careful teaching of the teacher, I became familiar with it little by little. After returning home, I took time to practice and slowly walked onto the track.

As we all know, learning the piano is very boring. Many children learn the piano passively under the coercion and inducement of their parents. There are not many children who are really interested, including world-famous pianist Lang Lang, who grew up under the strict discipline of their parents when they were young. Therefore, it shows a truth that interest can also be cultivated. Never like to like, never attend meetings, and from playing poorly to playing well is actually a process of habit cultivation.

My piano road has also experienced the darkest period. At first, following the teacher's rhythm, I can play some etudes skillfully. At this time, my hands began to itch, so I wanted to try to play some slightly simple famous songs. But it took a lot of effort to play a complete song from beginning to end. The unpleasant feeling in my heart is indescribable. That kind of worry, confusion, doubt and other negative emotions filled the whole brain. Whether to persist or give up, the two ideas are constantly entangled. It's like a young man falling in love with a girl he likes, but he can't catch up and let go.

Now that I think about it, it is still because of unrealistic ideas that are eager to achieve success.

Later, after long-term and stable training, I finally achieved my goal. I have learned many beautiful songs, and I am often intoxicated by them.

The whole process of learning the piano has made me realize a mental process of constantly challenging myself and defeating myself. Don't we do everything? The joy of success is what we seek, but we should learn to enjoy the hardships and pains in the process. There is a good saying: "Life does not look at the top, but at the ability to rebound from the bottom."

Although I have played the piano for 20 years, I seldom play it in public. I usually have a good time at home alone, but I also enjoy it. But once someone is around, you will feel nervous. I either forgot the score or played the wrong notes. I remember once my niece came to my house to play and wanted to record a video for me. I thought of someone recording a video next to me. What if I can't play well? Would it be a shame if she posted it online for others to see? Wait a minute. Bad idea. Songs that are usually played smoothly are recorded after repeated many times. I really feel worthless.

I have been playing the piano for a long time, and many good friends don't know it. Sometimes people don't believe it. Do you find it ridiculous? This shows how introverted I am.

The reason why I went to Taikang Xianlin Gulou Hospital as a piano volunteer is to break through myself. My original intention is not to waste so many years of hard work. It is better to be happy alone than with others. It is also a very happy thing to be able to go to the hospital to offer love to patients.

I have been reading books on psychology in recent years, because my son suffered from social phobia after going to work.

As the saying goes, books are the best teachers. After reading a lot of books, we know that people are afraid because we are used to attributing the negative emotions of fear to the external environment. In fact, this is an illusion.

The external environment is changeable and complicated, and people's intuition can't be seen clearly. According to this study, more than 99% of people's intuition thinks that what is right is an illusion. Only the subconscious mind is the most objective, fair and neutral.

A person's concern for the external environment will inevitably lead to an uncertain result, which will lead to the change of mood with the change of subjective consciousness, and will inevitably lead to anxiety. In this state of mind, we can't carry out normal activities. With the accumulation of negative emotions, such as fear that they can't do it or can't do it well, fear arises.

Therefore, what we need to do is to adjust our methods and change our original thinking mode, from looking outward to looking inward.

There are often people around us who look heartless. Don't underestimate such people, and there is no reason to make fun of them. In fact, they are people with great wisdom. Although they cry and laugh for a while, they are the people who know how to break up emotionally. Their emotions are never influenced by the external environment. My son has been a fearless man since he was a child. Why has he been afraid since he was a child? It is because he has more opportunities to get in touch with the society, and is influenced by the external environment, which produces negative emotions of fear from the outside to the inside.

Fear is not terrible and can be completely overcome. Because we know the ins and outs of it, and we know its origin.

As a person grows up, our subconscious mind is unconsciously polluted by the external environment, and it is already vulnerable. What we have to do now is to replace the original negative subconscious with correct thoughts and positive energy.

After a series of psychological adjustments, I confidently came to the outpatient hall and sat in front of the Yamaha grand piano. With 20 years of piano skills and good psychological quality, I successfully completed my first performance. It has been well received by patients and hospitals.

I deeply feel that it is a pleasant experience for a person to do his own thing well without external interference. What do you mean forget me? Actually, it should be called discovering yourself.

Now, I often find time to play the piano. I feel better and better. Often unconsciously surrounded by a group of people, they are quietly listening to this wonderful music. Recently, at the Mid-Autumn Festival Friendship Association organized by the hospital, the hospital also appointed me as the captain of the piano volunteer team. Recently, our team has added several new teammates, and our team is getting stronger and stronger. It's really gratifying that everyone is rushing to make an appointment.
