Cross-pollination, alienation and fruiting of pear flowers, and the choice of pollination trees are also very important. In recent years, the continuous cold winter in the pear tree producing areas in northwest China has greatly affected the flower bud development of fruit trees. The lack of female flowers, the poor development of female flowers, the poor development of male flowers of pollination trees and the poor quality of pollen will all affect the pollination and fruit setting of pear trees, thus affecting the yield. Coupled with soil problems, some chemical fertilizers were applied, and the yield of pear trees decreased.

When I went to Shanxi to study this year, I saw that some farmers tied plastic bags to bamboo poles, cut them into tassels to pollinate pear flowers, and absorbed a small amount of pollen to pollinate pear flowers through electrostatic adsorption. Not only saves pollen, but also improves the efficiency and pollination success rate. A farmer can grant 2-3 acres of pear orchards a day.

At present, some institutions are developing pollination guns, developing drone pollination technology, and preparing to pollinate pear flowers through new mechanical equipment, which has achieved initial results. However, both methods waste a lot of pollen, reduce labor, but increase economic costs.
