The difference between Chongqing Shapingba Station and Chongqing West Railway Station

Differences in grades, values and meanings.

1. From the classification of railway stations, Chongqing West Railway Station is a special station located in Shapingba District, Chongqing, and won the Taihang Cup Civil Engineering Award; Shapingba station is a comprehensive transportation hub, and the special station is the highest level in the classification of railway stations managed by China Railway Corporation.

2. From the value point of view: Chongqing West Railway Station is one of the main stations in the "three main and two auxiliary" passenger transport hub planned and constructed in Chongqing, and it is an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway passage. When completed and put into use, it will greatly shorten the time and space distance between Chongqing and neighboring provincial capital cities, Guangzhou and Shanghai, promote economic and social development, ease the tension of railway transportation, improve the railway transportation channels in northwest, southwest and south China, and significantly enhance Chongqing municipality and Shanghai. Shapingba comprehensive transportation hub reconstruction project is a demonstration project jointly built by Chongqing municipal government and railway corporation. It is also the first high-speed railway station case of urban complex development in China, the first comprehensive railway transportation hub in China, and an innovative attempt of intensive land use.
