Lanzhou University is a national key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, one of the national "double first-class" universities under the "985 Project" and "21/project". The school was founded on 1909. Its predecessor was the Gansu Law and Politics School established during the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty. It marks the beginning of modern higher education in Gansu and opens the precedent of higher education in northwest China.

The development of history

1949, Lanzhou was liberated. President Xin Shuzhi led Lanzhou University to meet the liberation, and Lanzhou University completely returned to the hands of the people of New China. Later, by the order of the Ministry of Education of the People's Government, schools all over the country lost the words "national" and "provincial", and the national Lanzhou University is even more important than Lanzhou University, which is still in use today.
