The sulfuric acid production system adopts the technological process of "oxidation roasting-dilute acid washing-two turns and two absorption" to prepare sulfuric acid and recover iron calcine. The main production facilities are raw material warehouse, roaster, dust collector, purification section, absorption tower, conversion section, tail gas chimney, acid warehouse and so on.

The hydrometallurgical system adopts the processes of "acid leaching-extraction-electrowinning" and "all-mud cyanidation leaching-carbon column adsorption analysis" to recover valuable elements such as copper, gold and silver from iron calcine respectively. The main production facilities are cinder storage, waste acid purification workshop, concentration tank, cyanidation workshop, precious metal workshop, cyanidation filtration workshop, extraction workshop, copper electrowinning workshop and iron concentrate warehouse.

Waste heat power generation system uses high and medium temperature waste heat generated in the roasting process of tailings in sulfuric acid production system to generate electricity, and uses the converted low temperature potential energy to produce hot water, which provides heat source for production and heating. Only the first phase of the project can save about 52 thousand tons of standard coal every year. The main production facilities are waste heat boilers, heat exchange stations and 35KV substations. The first is comprehensive utilization. Recovering sulfur, iron, copper, zinc, gold and silver from tailings discharged after copper ore dressing, turning waste into treasure, greatly improving the comprehensive utilization level of tailings.

The second is environmental protection and energy saving. With the process of "two transformations and two absorption", the total conversion rate of SO2 is ≥99.87%, and the SO2 in the tail gas can meet the standard. Greatly improve the utilization rate of water circulation, the circulation rate reaches 97. 15%, and realize "zero discharge" of acidic wastewater containing heavy metal ions; Make full use of roasting flue gas and converted heat energy, generate electricity by using waste heat of high and medium temperature potential energy, realize complete self-supply of production electricity, and use converted low temperature potential energy to produce hot water, which can not only meet the needs of production and life, but also greatly reduce the stockpiling of mine tailings minerals and reduce the pressure of mine safety and environmental protection.
