Major router settings

Set up an auxiliary router

1. Enter the secondary router setting interface.

2. Click Network Parameters-LAN Port Settings.

3. Set the LAN address of the secondary router to 192. 168.5438+0.2 to prevent the collision with the primary router and facilitate the management of the primary and secondary routers.

4. Click Wireless Settings-Basic Settings.

Check WDS on, click Scan in the pop-up interface to get the AP list, then find the SSID of the main router, namely TP_LINK_A, click the connect button on the right, select WPA-PSK as the encryption method, fill in the key of the main router: 12345678 (just keep the same as the main router), and click Save.

7. Because the new WDS function is different from the old bridge and more advanced, all secondary routers only need to open the WDS and fill in the information of the main route. If the main route has the WDS or bridging function turned on, please turn it off, otherwise the WDS function cannot be used.

8. Click Wireless Settings-Wireless Security Settings, and set the password of secondary routing wireless here.

9. Click DHCP Server-DHCP Server Settings to change the starting address of the address pool to192.168.150, and change the starting address of the address pool to192.168./. The gateway fills in the IP address of the main router, namely192.5438+068.438+0.438+0. The primary DNS server and the standby DNS server fill in the previously recorded addresses to save and restart the router.
