First, the status quo of grass-roots women's discussion in China

The first is the general situation of women's participation in politics. The second is the general situation of rural grassroots women's participation in politics. The county women's Federation intervened early and paid attention to the source participation. Third, women participate in other social and economic activities. Second, the problems and main reasons of women's participation in politics in China

In recent years, the formulation of laws, regulations, policies and planning requirements such as the Law on the Protection of Women's Rights and Interests in People's Republic of China (PRC) has provided a basis for women to participate in the construction of democratic politics and realize their political rights to some extent. At the same time, with the great attention of party committees at all levels and the cooperation of people's congresses, organizations, personnel, mass organizations and various departments, the breadth and depth of women's participation in democratic political construction have been continuously strengthened, the quality of women has been continuously improved, and the construction of female talent team has been continuously strengthened. However, the proportion of women groups participating in the construction of democratic politics among all citizens is still very small, and it has not become a habit for women to care about politics and voluntarily participate in political life through various legal means. It is rare for women to be masters of the country and manage the political, economic, cultural and social life of the country together with men. The role of women in the formulation and implementation of public policies is not as good as that of men. Women's demand for political rights is not as strong as other rights, and there is still a lack of democratic training in the means and measures of safeguarding rights. The main reasons are as follows:

First, limited by their own development, women's ability to participate in and discuss politics is not strong. Despite the rapid economic and social development, due to the low comprehensive quality and practical skills of women, the vast majority of women are still in the traditional production and life style, in the primary stage of productive labor, and their economic income and social status are low. The disharmony between women's own development and economic and social development directly weakens women's ability to participate in politics.

Second, due to family responsibilities, there are not many opportunities for women to participate in politics. For a long time, women have taken on more housework and family responsibilities. In order to support children, husbands and the elderly, many women are willing to give up some opportunities and rights for self-development. There are also many women who are willing to participate in democratic politics, but it is difficult to spare time and energy outside of work and family, thus greatly reducing the opportunities for women to participate in democratic political construction.

Third, influenced by traditional social concepts, the environment for women to participate in politics is not superior. For a long time, under the influence of traditional concepts such as "men are superior to women", "men are superior to women" and "men dominate outside and women dominate inside", women rarely engage in democratic political activities. For example, there are criticisms and unrealistic speculations about the phenomenon of female cadres holding leadership positions in society; In many villages, the directors of women's congresses are not well paid and have great work pressure, which cannot be understood by villagers, family members and society in many aspects, seriously affecting women's enthusiasm for participating in politics.

Third, suggestions and countermeasures to strengthen women's discussion in our county

The first is to further improve women's awareness and ability to discuss politics. Improve women's awareness and ability to participate in decision-making and management. Further strengthen the training of female talents, and incorporate the training of female talents into local talent training plans. Carry out publicity and training for women, constantly improve their awareness and ability of democratic participation, and encourage and guide women to actively participate in decision-making and management. Strengthen the education and training of female cadres, clearly put forward the proportion of female cadres in the training of cadres at all levels, and constantly improve the political quality, scientific and cultural level and decision-making management ability of female cadres. By improving women's comprehensive quality, we can enhance women's enthusiasm and ability to participate in politics. On this basis, guide, organize and give full play to women's management of their own affairs according to law, express and realize their wishes and strive for their own interests. Adhere to the principle of having both ability and political integrity and putting morality first, and give priority to the selection of female cadres under the same conditions. Women cadres who hold leading positions in important departments and key positions should account for a certain proportion. In the implementation of competition for posts, a certain proportion of posts are targeted to select female cadres.
