Evolution of Kaiyuan Town

It was named after Kaiyuan Tun before its jurisdiction. In the early years of Qing Daoguang, Tunpu was built. When it was built, Sun, Ji and Pan moved from Kaiyuan County, Liaoning Province. In 2005, Songqing Township was revoked and placed under the jurisdiction of Kaiyuan Town.
