Brief Introduction of China Petroleum West-East Gas Pipeline Company

China Petroleum West-East Gas Transmission (Sales) Company is a regional company directly under China Petroleum and Natural Gas Co., Ltd., which is responsible for the construction, production and operation management of the West-East Gas Transmission Project and the development and sales of the natural gas market.

With the construction and development of the west-to-east gas transmission project, the company has been growing. On March 8, 2000, the project management department of the West-East Gas Pipeline Project was established. On April 22nd, 200 1 year, it was renamed as West-East Gas Pipeline Branch. On September 27th, 2003, the West-East Gas Pipeline Sales Branch was established. In February, 2000, the first meeting in the State Council approved the start of the "West-to-East Gas Transmission Project", which is another major investment project after the Three Gorges Project of the Yangtze River and a landmark construction project to start the western development.

The planned "West-to-East Gas Pipeline" consists of two parallel large-diameter gas pipelines with a diameter of 1.5m, starting from Lunnan oil and gas field in Tarim, xinjiang in the west and reaching Korla, Turpan, Shanshan, Hami, Liuyuan, Jiuquan, Zhangye, Wuwei, Lanzhou, Dingxi, Xi 'an, Luoyang, Xinyang, Hefei, Nanjing and Changzhou in the east. East and west across Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu and other seven provinces, with a total length of 4,200 kilometers.

The "West-to-East Gas Transmission" pipeline project is carried out by combining dry and supporting construction, and the gas transmission scale of the pipeline is designed to be 654.38+0.2 billion cubic meters per year. The investment forecast of the first phase project is 654.38+02 billion yuan, and the total investment of upstream gas field development, main pipeline laying and urban pipe network exceeds 300 billion yuan. The project started in 2000-200 1 and was completed in 2007.

The implementation of the West-to-East Gas Transmission Project is conducive to promoting the adjustment of China's energy structure and industrial structure, promoting the economic development of the eastern and western regions, improving the quality of life of people in the Yangtze River Delta and areas along the pipeline, and effectively controlling air pollution. The implementation of this project has created conditions for the large-scale development of the western region, and it has important strategic significance for promoting and accelerating the economic development of Xinjiang and the western region by transforming the resource advantages of the western region into economic advantages.
