Wang Guangyi is an extremely sensitive contemporary artist. Perhaps he first grasped the core of pop art. He juxtaposed the critical images of workers, peasants and soldiers during the Cultural Revolution with the popular images of Coca-Cola and cosmetics, trying to eliminate the so-called painting as much as possible and show people the existence of contemporary life.
