The origin of Gusu? Why is it called Gusu?

Legend has it that Dayu had two right-hand assistants in Taihu Lake. One was Xu, the son abandoned by Shun's minister of agriculture, and the other was Ming, the son of Shun's minister of civil affairs, Qi. Ming was killed in the flood control project, and Xu was honored as the "horizontal king" after the flood was leveled. Presumably, after the flood recedes, capable cadres are needed to lead the victims to rebuild their homes. Prince Xu experienced the flood-fighting test and was appointed as the local tribal leader. Since then, this area has been called "Guxu" under the name of Xu. The pronunciation of "Gu" is the consonant G, which is the pronunciation word of the local dialect and meaningless, and is often used as the prefix word of special nouns. Gu Jie, Mandarin and Historical Records are all written as "Gusu", and some people think it is "the voice of later generations". Some people think that the word "Su" originally contained "fish" and "grain", indicating that this place is a land of fish and rice, which is inaccurate. The ancient narration is also called ancient Su because the ancient narration and ancient Su in ancient Wu and Chu have the same pronunciation, such as Shen, the minister of Chu mentioned in Zuo Zhuan, and Bo Su mentioned in Warring States Policy. Now Suzhou people still call "moustache" "renting Su", which is also a legacy of the old saying. This is the origin of Gusu.
