History of Arukerqin Banner

Arukerqin Banner has a long history and profound connotation. As early as the new era, people lived here. During the slave society, it was an important breeding ground for nomadic people in the north. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Warring States Period, Qin and Han Dynasties, it successively belonged to Donghu, Xiongnu, Wuhuan and Xianbei. Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties belong to Xianbei (Tuoba) land, and Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties belong to Qidan land. Liao Dynasty belongs to the Yellow River Qidan land, which is the northern boundary of Beijing and Huangfu. In Jin Dynasty, Taizhou belonged to Jinglu Road. The Yuan Dynasty granted the land to the Liao King. In the Ming Dynasty, it was originally under the jurisdiction of Hadi Tainingwei. In the 25th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1546), Sun Kundulun, the 15th generation, and Hasal, the younger brother of Genghis Khan, led Arukerqin to move to the present land of Arukerqin, whose first name was Arukerqin, which means northern archer. From the 43rd year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty to the 3rd year of Chongzhen (1546- 1630), it belonged to the Chahar Department of the Northern Yuan Dynasty. In the eighth year of Tiancong (1634), two flags were raised in Arukorqin. The former flag was led by Dalai, a descendant of Habutu Hasal's16th generation, and the latter flag was led by Dalai's son Zhang Mu. In the first year of Chongde (1636), it was merged into a flag named Arukerqin Banner, which was given to Zak by Zhang Mu, and passed down to Zak in the late Qing Dynasty 13 generations. Chongde for four years (1639) belonged to Zhaowuda League and was controlled by Jehol. In the early years of the Republic of China, it belonged to Jehol Province.
