In order to strengthen the construction of ecological civilization, conserve aquatic biological resources, protect biodiversity, and promote the sustainable development of fisheries, Xinchang County entered a fishing ban period from April 1 day according to the Fisheries Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Notice of Shaoxing City on Fishing Ban Period in 2022 issued by Shaoxing Agriculture and Rural Bureau.
No fishing area and time?
(a) Xinchang County Waidang waters (refers to the unclosed rivers, ripples, streams, etc.). ), the fishing time is from 0: 00 on April 1 day to 24: 00 on May 3 1 day;
(2) From Jingling Bridge of Chengtan River to Shimen Reservoir Dam in Xinchang County, the fishing ban is from 0: 00 on April/KLOC-0 to 24: 00 on June 30.
Prohibited types of work
All working methods except leisure fishing.
The legal responsibility for fishing in violation of the provisions of the closed fishing period will be given corresponding administrative punishment according to the relevant laws and regulations on fisheries, and if the circumstances are serious, it will be handed over to judicial organs for criminal responsibility according to law.

Article 38 of the Fisheries Law of People's Republic of China (PRC): Anyone who uses fried fish, poisonous fish, electric fish and other methods to destroy fishery resources, violates the provisions of closed fishing areas and closed fishing periods, or uses prohibited fishing gear, fishing methods and nets smaller than the minimum mesh size for fishing, or the juvenile fish in the catch exceeds the prescribed proportion, the catch and illegal income shall be confiscated and a fine of not more than 50,000 yuan shall be imposed; If the circumstances are serious, the fishing gear shall be confiscated and the fishing license shall be revoked; If the circumstances are particularly serious, the fishing boat may be confiscated; If a crime is constituted, criminal responsibility shall be investigated according to law.
Article 340th of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) "Whoever, in violation of the laws and regulations on the protection of aquatic resources, catches aquatic products in prohibited fishing areas or seasons or uses prohibited tools and methods, if the circumstances are serious, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention, public surveillance or fines".
