In 200 1 year, with the approval of Beijing Municipal Government, Beijing Medical College was merged into Capital Medical University and renamed as Shunyi Campus of Capital Medical University. In March 2005, Shunyi Campus was renamed Yanjing Medical College of Capital Medical University.

The college covers an area of 70,000 square meters, and the campus greening area is 36,200 square meters. There are flowers in three seasons, green in four seasons, beautiful scenery and pleasant environment. 1993, the first batch won the title of civilized campus, and was repeatedly rated as a garden-style unit in the capital.

The college now offers six majors, including clinical medicine, medical examination, preventive medicine, nursing, pharmacy and health information management, with full-time students 1276.
