On the morning of January 29, 2010, I participated in a visiting and hands-on winter camp activity at the National Agricultural Exhibition Hall.

In the morning, we first visited the museum. You can visit farm tools, crops, etc. in the museum.

At close to noon, the management organizer organized us to hold an activity called "tie dyeing". I remember that when I was traveling in Dali, Yunnan one year, I saw tie-dyed handicrafts. They were all kinds of and very beautiful, but I didn’t know how they were made. After participating in this event, I finally understood how tie-dye is made.

The process of our tie-dying is as follows:

First of all, the organizer of the agricultural exhibition hall prepared a very thick piece of plain white cloth and several ropes for each of us. . Then fold this piece of white cloth into any shape (I folded it into a long strip), then use these ropes to tie it in any few places on the piece of white cloth, tie it into a tight buckle, and then use numbered clips to clip it Okay, remember the number on your clip, and then give it to the manager to put it in a pot to cook and color. After completing these tasks, the manager will send everyone's work to us by calling the number, and let us use it. The scissors carefully cut away the rope and then unfolded the piece of cloth. Wow! So beautiful! I think it is very similar to the water patterns on the cliffs near the water surface that you see in tourist attractions. It is also like the lines of red marble. It is more like the blood-stained Yangtze River water after a cruel war of swords and blood. This reminded me of Su Shi's "rolling up thousands of piles of snow" Red Cliff...

When I experienced labor personally, I further understood the essence of this sentence. Labor is indeed hard, but it is bitter yet sweet. I experienced the feeling of labor, the feeling when I am so tired that I am sweating profusely. These are not things that can be touched in our daily study and life. This feeling is the most ordinary but extraordinary feeling deep in the heart of a worker.

On this day, I spent a day at the Agricultural Exhibition Hall. The person in charge of the Agricultural Exhibition Hall asked us to visit the museum. I happily agreed, thinking to myself, what’s so difficult about visiting? Just listen to the guide’s explanations and think about it while listening! So I listened to these commentators with confidence. Who knew that there was a gap between facts and imagination, and the gap was not small.

I first visited an exhibition about farming. It looked like simple farming, but it would be very tiring and difficult to do it yourself, because these exhibitions all started in ancient times. , ancient people did not have such advanced tools for farming, so it was difficult and tiring for them to farm. We modern people basically use machines for farming, so it seems very easy. After visiting for a while, I felt bored and tired, so I wanted to give up the visit.

I just wanted to give up and go home to do something else, but my character of not giving up easily made me think, what am I bothering about? Ancient people used such ancient tools to farm. It was so difficult and tiring, but they didn't bother or give up. Giving up farming is equivalent to giving up life. So, what's not going to bother me yet? Later, I was thinking hard there, and I remembered a time when I traveled to other places to climb mountains during my summer vacation. Climbing mountains is not easy. I get tired while climbing. Even if I wear special hiking shoes, I get tired very quickly. So I thought, I'd better stick with it, listen carefully to the commentator's explanation bit by bit, think carefully about the truth, and divert my attention from being tired, maybe I will forget about being tired. Sure enough, I listened with gusto later, and it was easy for me to Now that I understand the truth, I don’t feel tired anymore.

I was very excited when I saw that the method I thought of to divert attention had achieved good results, so I became more confident and continued to visit and do it!

Well...after the instructor's explanation, I feel that I have learned a lot of knowledge that was not in the books before.

I think that through my own labor, solving problems with my own hands and brains is my biggest gain in this activity, and the same is true for learning!

Through this practice, I have a profound experience. When you do something, whether you know it or not, you must have the courage to face it and give it a try. If you do it, you are a difficult leader; if you don’t do it, you are a difficult prisoner; and I have gained a lot in practice, and at the same time I have discovered many of my own shortcomings. Therefore, I will work harder in my future studies and constantly enrich and improve myself! I will also tell my classmates about my experience of this activity, so that when they are bored with studying, they will be like me and persist a little longer. In this activity, I experienced the success of doing it myself and learned about the tie-dye production process.
