The Historical Evolution of Mine Village

According to legend, at the end of the Tang Dynasty (905 ~ 907), people moved here from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, and were named Kuangshan Village because of Kuangshan Mountain. Mine Village is located in the northwest corner of Jinan City, with a total area of 3.5 square kilometers, and belongs to the mine sub-district office of Huaiyin District, Jinan City. The whole village is located in alluvial plain with flat terrain. It is known as Kuangshan, one of the famous landscapes in Jinan, with an altitude of 80.08 meters. It is located in the northeast of the village. In the past, it was "green pines and cypresses, beautiful mountains and clear waters". Nowadays, Kuangshan Village is building Kuangshan Park with a total area of more than 300 mu according to the plan, restoring the cultural relics of Kuangshan, shaping modern beauty and making it a tourist and entertainment resort in the northwest of Jinan.
