What railways will there be in Changzhi in the future?

Let’s first talk about the Zhengzhou-Taiyuan Railway under construction. It will be the main railway line connecting Zhengzhou City, the capital of Henan Province, and Taiyuan City, the capital of Shanxi Province. The line starts from Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province in the north and passes through Jinzhong. City, Changzhi City, Jincheng City, Jiaozuo City, and Zhengzhou City, Henan Province in the south, with a total length of 420 kilometers and a design driving speed of 250 kilometers per hour. It is expected to be opened to traffic in 2020. Its construction will greatly facilitate the travel of people in Shanxi and Henan and greatly shorten the travel time.

Future new railways 1. Changzhi via Pingshun to Linzhou intercity railway project. The project connects the Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and the Zhengzhou-Jiji High-speed Railway to the east and the Tajiao High-speed Railway to the west. It is an important tourism and cultural passage connecting the Taihang Mountain area in southeastern Shanxi and northern Henan. The total length of the Changzhi-Linzhou intercity railway is about 70 kilometers, with an estimated investment of 9.96 billion yuan.

2. South Taihang Mountain Tourism Rail Transit Project. The project runs through Changzhi-Huguan-Pingshun-Linzhou, and the line passes through the Huguan Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon, Pingshun Grand Canyon and Linzhou Grand Canyon. The total track length is about 135 kilometers, with an estimated investment of 8.6 billion yuan.

The existing railway, Taijiao Railway, was built in the 1960s. It is one of the main railway trunk lines for Shanxi coal transportation, running from Taiyuan, Shanxi, to Jiaozuo, Henan via Jinzhong, Changzhi and Jincheng. The line leads from Xiuwen Station of the Nantongpu Line, winds in the southeastern part of Shanxi, runs diagonally into the northwest of Henan Province, intersects with the Jiaoliu Line at Yueshan Station, and tracks with it to Jiaozuo North Station. 398 kilometers.

The Handan-Changchun Railway starts from the Beijing Railway Bureau Handan Station on the Beijing-Guangzhou Line in the east, passes through Wu'an and Shexian in Hebei Province, Licheng and Lucheng in Shanxi Province to Changzhi North Station on the Taijiao Line and connects to the Shanxi-Zhongnan Railway Channel. The total length is 221.7 kilometers, 151 kilometers in Hebei and 70.7 kilometers in Shanxi.

The Shanxi-Henan-Shandong Railway, also known as the Shanxi-Central South Railway and the Wari Railway, spans the three provinces of Shanxi, Henan and Shandong. It is a large-capacity heavy-haul railway in my country's important east-west road network trunk railway. The line starts from Wattang Town, Xing County in the Luliang Mountain area of ??Shanxi Province in the west, passes through 13 cities in the three provinces of Shanxi, Henan and Shandong, connecting the main north-south railway lines of Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Kowloon and other countries, and ends at Rizhao Port in Shandong Province in the east. The main line is 1,260 kilometers long. The design The standard is national railway level one, pulling heavy-duty trains of 10,000 tons, with an axle load of 30 tons, double-track electrification, and an annual freight capacity of 200 million tons. It is an important part of the country's medium and long-term railway network planning. The construction period was four and a half years, and it was officially completed and opened to traffic on December 30, 2014.

For us in Changzhi in the near future, it may be the Hunan high-speed railway branch line from Jincheng to Nanyang via Luoyang. Qingdao, Liaocheng, Handan and Changzhi must reach the big cities in the west direction. Like Xi'an, Lanzhou or Yinchuan, etc.

As for the number of railways passing through Changzhi, according to our information, there are currently four railways, the Tajiao intercity railway, the Handan-Changzhi railway, and the Shanxi-Henan-Luzhou railway channel (Central-South Railway). Three railways. But what I am talking about today is the Tajiao intercity railway! Because its meaning is really different.

Under China’s eight-vertical and eight-horizontal high-speed rail plan, China has set off a frenzy to build high-speed rail in recent years. This will also be an opportunity for China’s economy to jump again! The Tajiao intercity high-speed railway passing through Changzhi is also part of its construction! It is an important part of the Hohhot-Ningbo Channel in the national eight-vertical and eight-horizontal plan.

This Tajiao intercity high-speed rail line passes through 14 counties and cities under the four prefecture-level cities of Taiyuan City, Jinzhong City, Changzhi City and Jincheng City. The line length is 358 kilometers! The design speed is 250 kilometers per hour, and there are 8 new stations in Shanxi area.

Construction started in October 2016 and is now almost complete. According to sources, it is expected to be completed in December 2020! We are still looking forward to it!

So what is the significance of this railway?

First of all, the construction of this Tajiao intercity railway has brought Changzhi and Jincheng into the high-speed rail era! This is a kind of jump! You must know that many cities in Shandong and Jiangsu along the coast are still competing for high-speed rail resources! Secondly, it also lays the foundation for opening up the Southeast Shanxi Expressway! It provides sufficient conditions for the economic transformation and improvement of the southeastern Shanxi region. For Shanxi Province, the flow of population and culture in various cities will be accelerated!

I will talk about this topic here. Here, I, Momo, congratulate Changzhi, Shanxi, on entering the high-speed rail era! Friends from Shanxi, please share your opinions.

1. Currently:

Taijiao Railway (south of Changzhi): It belongs to the Zhengzhou Railway Bureau. It mainly hauls coal. Passenger traffic is small and slow. The main passenger lines are to Beijing (holiday tickets) Difficult to buy, Grandma Shen has called for opening for many years)

Handan-Changchun Railway: Beijing Railway Bureau, mainly transports coal and transports customers. There are three passenger transports every day, one of which goes to Tianjin

Wari Railway : Freight, hauling coal. No passenger transport has been opened

2. The future:

Taijiao High-speed Railway: Open to traffic by the end of the year

Changhanliao: Currently striving to be included in the 14th Five-Year Plan

Changlin: Currently trying hard to win the title of Changhan Liaozhong, but it may be stillborn
