Does Jiangsu Ocean University have two schools or one?

Jiangsu Ocean University is an independent institution. Jiangsu Ocean University is referred to as Jianghai University. The school was originally "Huaihai University" established in 1985. Huaihai Institute of Technology was established in 1989. In 2019, the school was upgraded to "Jiangsu Ocean University". In 2020, the school officially began to enroll students. As of 2022, the school is enrolling students in 20 provinces and cities across the country, including up to 16 provinces and cities enrolling students in the first line (or special recruitment, key line).
