What is the employment prospect of GIS major?

The prospect of gis is still very good, and it is very good. At present, our major is full employment except postgraduate entrance examination. Although some of them are not gis majors, they also make use of university knowledge.

Did not do those basically unrelated sales and other industries. Generally speaking, there is so much work: programming, sales, data processing, technical support, measurement and other programming. You can do gis programming or not. What I am doing now is not gis programming, and I learned the language at school. I don't know if this is a deviation from the industry.

It is easy to find a job. Just search for "gis engineer" or "gis development" on some recruitment websites, and there will be many positions, most of which are in big cities. In terms of sales, most of them work in two big companies, South China and China Haida, selling surveying and mapping instruments and so on. Because our school gis is separated from surveying, our gis is biased towards surveying and mapping. Data processing refers to the use of professional software Arcgis, ENVI, cad, etc. To process data, this is mostly done by girls, but not by boys in our class. Technical support is done by boys, which I don't quite understand. It's easy to find a measure anyway. It's made by pure boys, few girls, and girls don't go. This is the rice bowl of surveying and mapping, and it is also a youth meal. Bitterness is bitter, but I still earn a lot.
