Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, founded in 1958, is the earliest academy of social sciences established in New China and the only comprehensive research institution of humanities and social sciences in Shanghai. In the past 6 years, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences has formed a series of professional research fields which enjoy high reputation in Shanghai, the Yangtze River Delta region and even the whole country, and a large number of social science experts and humanities scholars with expertise have emerged successively.

At present, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences has 17 research institutes and more than 3 affiliated research centers, covering major disciplines such as economics, sociology, politics, law, literature, history, philosophy, international relations and management. There are 82 employees in the hospital. Among them, there are 689 professional and technical personnel, including 14 zhenggao and 23 sub-gaogao; 74% of the professional and technical personnel have doctorates. According to the development needs of our college, we are looking for talents in social sciences at home and abroad.
