China CSR cooperates with Westinghouse to develop braking system.

Yesterday, Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China CSR 60 1766, announced that it had reached an agreement with Westinghouse Wabtec Company of the United States to set up a joint venture company to jointly develop, produce, sell, after-sales and maintain the braking system of rail transit vehicles. At present, the braking system of China rail transit trains basically depends on imports.

According to the agreement, the two parties will establish Hunan CSR Westinghouse Rail Transit Technology Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 32.5 million yuan, and both parties hold equal rights. Wabtec company is a manufacturer and global supplier of railway braking equipment and supporting equipment for rolling stock, with a history of 140 years. The company is the inventor of railway air brake products and has rich experience in braking system and operation management of high-speed and heavy-haul trains.

CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in selling and manufacturing vehicle-mounted electrical systems and components. The self-developed traction system has won the bid for 1 1 project in Shanghai, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Beijing, Guangzhou, Kunming and Changsha.

The successful "marriage" with Wabtec will enable CSR Times Electric to enter the rail transit braking system industry.
