Why don't many young people like working in factories?
Can get a bonus of 1000 yuan; It is still welcome and rewarding to mobilize the former employees to come back to work.
Several company bosses who watched together said with emotion that workers are hard to find now. Last year, I saw a similar internal recruitment notice in the factory of another listed company, which shows that it is a common problem.
Recently, I read an article on the Internet advising young people not to work in factories on the grounds that:
1, working in a factory, it is difficult to have your own time;
2, the brain is easy to passivate after a long time;
Working in a factory will affect your health;
4, the factory has been working for a long time and is easy to be eliminated by society.
These four reasons are really hard to refute.
The current employment situation is such a dislocation: on the one hand, factories need a large number of young, energetic and educated young workers, but it is not easy to recruit people; On the other hand, a large number of college graduates would rather go to remote and isolated cities to compete for "establishment" and become "white-collar workers" than work in factories.
It's no use accusing young people of aiming too high and teaching them to be down to earth. If we carefully analyze the four reasons listed above to persuade young people not to enter factories, we can find that they all point to one reason: factories and industrial parks are generally too far away from urban areas.
0 1
From the perspective of economic and geographical planning, the industrial park is far away from the urban area, which has countless advantages, including:
First, the cost of land acquisition and demolition is low, and the industrial land price is low, which can reduce the production and operation costs of enterprises;
Second, factories are concentrated in contiguous areas, which is convenient for the construction of general infrastructure and the use of pipelines, and can further reduce the production and operation costs of enterprises;
Third, it is easy to form an upstream and downstream supporting industrial chain in the region, which is beneficial to the local economy and enterprises;
Fourth, for enterprises that may produce three wastes, the conflict between the factory and the surrounding residents can be reduced.
However, these benefits to enterprises, local governments and local economies cannot directly benefit a young worker.

A young worker probably doesn't want to reduce the production and operation costs of enterprises, which is the responsibility of bosses and local governments. Is there an industrial chain to support it? What does it have to do with him?
If there is a conflict with the surrounding residents, the factory youth will not intervene.
Of course, if we simply look at the relationship between labor supply and demand, when jobs are extremely scarce and workers have no choice, people will flock to you if you build your factory in the mountains and in the desert. However, when a person has a choice, everyone will be picky, which is human nature.
02
When is the demand for work in short supply? In the early and middle stages of industrialization, in Chinese mainland, it was the 1980s and 1990s of last century and the first decade of this century. The corresponding young workers are post-50 s, post-60 s, post-70 s and some post-80 s.
At that time, in front of the factory, there was a long queue of job-seeking workers. With a shout, a group of workers could be pulled up and flocked to the young people in the central and western parts of the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta, and the station square and train carriages were crowded. No matter how remote the factory was and how bad the working conditions were, people had to be recruited.

At that time, workers needed a job to feed their stomachs and support their families. Ordinary workers don't think of long-term plans. Their work is calculated by year: how much money they can earn this year. As for the future, who cares about the future?
When the problem of food and clothing is generally solved, where can an ordinary person not find a bowl of rice to eat? At this time, people's demands changed. People need leisure, development, socialization and entrepreneurship, as well as spiritual life and civic life. You will find that industrial parks far away from urban areas can no longer meet these higher-level needs.
Undeniably, the current industrial park is no longer a pattern of some factories and some dormitory buildings, with facilities for entertainment, leisure, eating and drinking, and even better, low-rent housing for couples.
However, the basic difference between industrial parks and urban areas will not change. If you want to live a citizen's life, the commute time will be longer. In particular, many industrial parks are very large, and it is difficult to leave the park without driving. This inconvenience can easily make young people give up this job.

Why are urban jobs and jobs with "establishment" attractive?
Besides its well-known advantages, cities also mean more opportunities and choices. What is freedom? Freedom means that you can choose/not to choose, and you are responsible for your choice/not to choose. Therefore, "the air in the city makes people free."
However, the choice opportunities provided by industrial parks far away from urban areas are far less than those provided by urban areas. Accordingly, the industrial park is "not free", so it has become a place for young people to flee.
The choice is to seek greater stability, and "establishment" itself means stability and realization of stability. In this sense, the two are actually two sides of the same body. Big cities mean more choices. Small and medium-sized cities seek stability in staffing. We can't say which is absolutely good and which is absolutely bad. Just a personal preference.

However, when so many young people flock to take the exam, we can only say that the choice of big cities has suddenly decreased, which means that the freedom of cities has been greatly reduced.
Why are young people still unwilling to go to the factory under such circumstances? In fact, young people have to choose between factories and institutions after losing a lot of choices in urban areas. The loss of urban choice opportunities further highlights the preciousness of the establishment and further makes the establishment and factory work show a world of difference.
In this case, the traditional values of "no one asked at a cold window for ten years and became famous in one fell swoop" once again played a role. So you can see that in quite a few counties and townships, it will become more and more common to prepare for the entrance examination in the business study room every day after graduation, rather than work in a factory.

We can imagine an impossible situation: a large manufacturing factory is located in Huangpu District, even if it only offers an average salary, will it not hire people?
All social science theories are against opening a factory in Huangpu District. Once there is such a factory in Huangpu District, the prices of surrounding land and houses will immediately drop countless times, and the interests of countless people and organizations will suffer great losses. No one would be so crazy.

This, in turn, shows that it is a helpless fate that industrial parks cannot recruit young workers. Perhaps the only way out is to improve the degree of automation, replace labor with intelligent robots, and gradually approach unmanned factories.
In this way, the industrial manufacturing industry will gradually lose its ability to absorb employment. It may only take one or two hundred workers to invest hundreds of millions, which will lead more young people to be more eager to find choices in big cities. This requires cities to provide greater freedom, open more choices and create countless unheard-of jobs. Otherwise, the employment of young people will become a very difficult problem.
