This station is one of the first green railway stations of China Railway Corporation, and is regarded as a model of green transportation. The construction of Langfang Station is to improve the transportation capacity of this area, and also to support the strategic plan of China government to develop high-speed railways nationwide. Although this station is not high-speed railway station, it is still one of the important transportation hubs in this area.
