Summary of four training sessions on "Body Reading Tea"

This is the fourth time I have participated in the Body Reading Tea training. Looking back on the four experiences, I have gained something new each time.

The first time: Dali in June 2017 (initial practice).

The main reason that prompted me to sign up for the training was not only to experience the wonderful physical sensation of old tea, but also because Teacher Miaoyuan told me that I was cold as soon as he saw me and suggested that I go through three days of intensive tea reading. Give your body a comprehensive cleanse. Sure enough, every time I made tea during that training, I broke into a lot of cold sweat. After drinking the boiling hot tea, I was so cold that my whole body shivered, my teeth chattered, and I expelled a lot of cold air. At that time, due to cold and blood stasis, my perception of my body was very rough. Listening to others talk about the subtle feeling of tea gas flowing in the body was completely like listening to a book from heaven, and I could not understand it myself. Even if I read tea for an hour, I can't sit still. In the end, I can't help but want to move. My legs are often sore and my back cannot be straight. During the final tea-making exam, when everyone tasted my tea, they all said that among the second-term trainees, my energy was the weakest and my body was the coldest.

But this training has significant effects, mainly in three aspects:

1. The intestines are obviously much smoother, and one minute is enough to go to the toilet.

2. After learning to meditate for more than a year, I was unable to truly sit in the lotus position. After three days of intensive tea reading, I was suddenly able to sit in the lotus position. (Teacher Li said that double lotus is not something you can practice. If you have enough Qi, your muscles will be weak. After you drink tea seriously and have enough Qi, you can naturally do many yoga movements that people who have practiced yoga for many years cannot do.)

3. Sleep improves and I won’t wake up in the middle of the night.

Second time: Dali in July 2017 (refresher training)

Before, my body was numb and I couldn’t notice any problems. After the last training, I understood what my problem was, and I also felt the remarkable effect of cleansing my body after three days of intensive tea reading, so I signed up for the second refresher training without hesitation. This time I didn't sweat as frequently as last time, nor was I shivering from the cold. My body felt very warm, which showed that a lot of the cold air had been discharged last time. But my understanding of tea gas is still not that detailed, and by the end of the hour I often can’t sit still because my legs hurt.

The biggest gains this time are two points:

1. On the third day, I passed an astonishing amount of black feces (I actually ate very light during the reading period) , I have never detoxified like this in my memory. When I came out of the toilet, I felt relieved and refreshed.

2. I used to be unable to calm down while meditating, so I couldn’t sit still. Now after making tea, I finally feel like my mind is as calm as water, and I can’t sit still without wanting to move. This state has only occurred in the past seven days. It only happens by chance during intensive meditation.

3. My body begins to feel warm and my spirit is better than before.

The third time: Chengdu in August 2017 (refresher training)

That time I went with the mentality of going to the stove to sweat and detoxify in the dog days of summer. Sure enough, every time I made tea, my body felt like it had been washed with water, soaking wet. However, my body feels cool and comfortable from the inside out, and my heart is much more at ease than before. There is no cold on the surface of the body, but when I drink Tuocha from the 38-year War of Resistance, I feel a dull pain in my organs and a coldness coming from within, which shows how powerful the pure yang energy of old tea is. The gains this time are:

1. What I can clearly feel is the dredging of the lower body. Almost every time I make tea, my legs feel sore and painful. Although I feel uncomfortable, my mind is much calmer than before, I can sit still, and my waist can be straightened without any effort. (Meditating concentration improved rapidly, which was clearly confirmed in the following two days of sitting meditation classes from morning to night in September.)

2. The body’s automatic temperature regulation ability is enhanced, no matter how hot it is outside, You can adapt quickly and there is no feeling of hotness in the body. Sweating is no longer cold sweat, and sweat can be quickly dried up.

3. My energy and energy have improved significantly (see the comparison of the photos on the left in June and the right in August below). For the first time, I did not feel sleepy or dozed off during the two-day intensive zazen course in September.

The fourth time: Chengdu in October 2017 (refresher training)

This time I finally experienced the feeling of "tea gas running through the small Zhoutian". When you take the first cup, your spine will immediately feel warm. Then the heat will go up to the top of your head, down to your Dantian, and then up to your back... The whole body will warm up immediately. The feeling of "tea gas" is much more obvious than before. This time my legs no longer hurt so much. I could feel the heat flowing through my legs from time to time. It was like soaking in a hot spring. It was very comfortable. The main gains this time are:

1. The amount of sweat is not as large as before. Even if there is sweat, it can be quickly collected and dried automatically. Every pore of the body feels like being bathed in warm sunshine. . When the hot tea soup enters your mouth, you can feel the pleasant coolness emanating from your esophagus. I thought I would have to bring a lot of clothes to change, but I didn’t expect that once I sweated dry, my clothes no longer smell like sweat. This shows that the detoxification was quite successful.

2. My heart is much clearer and more peaceful. After a few cups, my breathing becomes long and fine, making it easy to stay in the present moment. I had been unable to make up my mind to do some spiritual practice before, but now I find that my mind has become much more settled.

3. Not only when meditating, but also when walking, walking and sitting unconsciously, I can straighten my back unconsciously, which proves that I have a lot of energy.

4. As autumn enters Chengdu, the temperature drops suddenly, and many people complain about the cold.

But I didn’t bring extra clothes when I went out and I didn’t feel cold. When I went to hold someone’s hand, they all exclaimed: Wow! You have so much energy and blood that your palms are still so hot despite wearing so little. You know, a few months ago I was still cold, with cold hands and feet. Teacher Miaoyuan later described Dali Tea Club’s impression of me when he first met me in May: “My face was sallow, and I came in like an iceman with a gust of cold wind.” Now, after the fourth training, I can cover myself with a much thinner quilt than others, and I can feel the heat rising from my spine from time to time even while sleeping.

5. It is obviously much easier to do the yoga movements taught by Teacher Li before, and the body is indeed much softer.

6. As the awareness of one's own body has been significantly improved, the mind has become clearer and sharper, and the mentality has become more peaceful and open-minded. It is easier to develop equanimity and compassion for those in need.

The above is my real experience at each stage since I started learning "Body Reading Tea" in June. The deepest feelings are as follows:

1. Teacher Li Yanfeng advocates using pure dry warehouse old tea for "body reading tea", which is very beneficial to both health and spiritual practice. The body is the best spokesperson, better than any theoretical preaching. Facts have proved that this method is indeed effective.

2. Strike while the iron is hot. In-depth and intensive learning is much more effective than intermittent learning. Teacher Li was kind and generous, giving tea for beginners and free for re-training, and encouraged everyone to re-train more often. He worked tirelessly to brew priceless old tea for students to drink from morning to night during the three-day training, hoping that we could be able to drink it as soon as possible. Get your body in shape. As a student, you should cherish such great love. Only with a better body and mind can you repay the selfless dedication of Teacher Li and Teacher Miaocha Miaoyuan.
