How to become a programmer in the financial industry

1. Does the general financial industry recruit fresh undergraduates?

No. All IT is social recruitment. The requirements are relatively high. (Quant is recruiting fresh graduates with master's or doctoral degrees. But they are majoring in mathematics.)

2. What knowledge do you need to master to enter the financial industry as a developer?

Everything will be best. Our company prefers Windows. But most of the time it’s a small requirement one by one, and you just have to make it. Generally no one cares how you do it. (Or the task you received is: You give me blablabla in IE/Excel. How to do it? It’s up to you.)

3. What is the salary level of programmers in the financial industry?

I think it’s average. In my own case, my salary increased a little bit after I jumped over, but my working hours also became a little longer. The conclusion is that unit wages have not changed. (Just a coolie.)
