How does Shanxi Province export natural gas?

The output of some gas wells located in Ordos gas field in Shanxi Province is exported by PetroChina's own pipeline.

It is also transported outside the province by liquefied LNG and high-pressure CNG tank cars. This quantity is small and the cost is high.

Shanxi has its own provincial natural gas pipeline network company: Shanxi Natural Gas Co., Ltd. The company has its own pipeline for transporting natural gas/coalbed methane. But they are all in the province. For example, the connection project of coalbed methane and natural gas in the urban gas pipeline network of Shouyang County and Yuci District includes four projects. One is gas transmission pipeline project, Shouyang, Yuxian County, with a total length of 49 kilometers; The other is the Shouyang natural gas city pipe network project, with a total length of 20 kilometers; The third is the ground gas gathering pipe network project of coalbed methane in Shouyang, Far East, with a total length of 2 1 km; Fourth, Yuci City gas outer ring secondary high-pressure pipe network project, with a total length of 60 kilometers. Yuci city gas outer ring secondary high-pressure pipe network has the function of forward and backward transportation. By docking with Yuxian-Shouyang long-distance pipeline, coalbed methane resources can be transported to Jinzhong City, and the natural gas of Jinzhong trunk line can also be transported back to Shouyang, providing sufficient backup gas source protection. The pilot project of ground gathering and transportation of coalbed methane in Shouyang is connected with the whole line of Yuxian-Shouyang gas pipeline, which directly connects the coalbed methane resources in Shouyang to the natural gas pipeline network in the province, and realizes the Dalian connection between natural gas and coalbed methane pipelines in the province.
