Chapter 4 of the Interim Measures for the Management of Southern University of Science and Technology Faculty and Staff

Article 30: Southern University of Science and Technology implements a recruitment system for faculty and staff, and recruits openly from the public based on the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness.

Southern University of Science and Technology should sign a written contract with the faculty and staff it employs to clarify the rights and obligations of both parties and implement contract management.

Article 31 SUSTech will reasonably determine the salary distribution plan for faculty and staff based on job requirements and with reference to the salary level of the higher education human resources market.

Southern University of Science and Technology can set up distinguished professor positions, and distinguished professors will implement an agreed salary system.

Article 32 SUSTech has established and improved a performance appraisal system, and uses the appraisal results as the basis for faculty and staff renewal, dismissal, rewards and punishments, and determination of remuneration.

Article 33 SUSTech shall, in accordance with the relevant regulations of this city, participate in basic pension, medical, work-related injury, unemployment, maternity and other social insurance for its employed faculty and staff, and establish an occupational annuity system.

Article 34: The Faculty and Staff Congress established by SUSTech is an important organizational form for faculty and staff to participate in the democratic management and supervision of the school, and is responsible for electing representatives to participate in the Board of Governors and the School Committee.

When the Board of Directors considers matters involving the vital interests of faculty and staff, it shall seek the opinions of the Faculty Representative Congress in advance.
