What is the welding process of copper tube?

Select tool:

The air combustion-supporting welding torch with uniform heating is preferred (the welding torch is equipped with an air flow control valve and a rotating device, which makes the flame rotate through the nozzle, and the sprayed flame has even firepower, which is available in our company), and the reducing flame (flame of natural gas and petroleum liquefied steam) is preferred.

Heating method:

The flame should be soft and completely cover the welding area. The flame should move around the connection area up and down, left and right, so that the connection area is heated evenly (when connecting different metals, more metals with good thermal conductivity should be heated. For example, when welding copper and aluminum, the copper part should be heated more to ensure the temperature of the connected part is consistent.

Welding wire filling method:

First heat the base metal (don't burn the welding wire as soon as it comes up, otherwise the welding will be unstable) and heat it at the same time. The flux-cored wire can be used to contact the workpiece in the connection area (if the wire is melted by the temperature of the workpiece, the welding effect is better). When it is found that the welding wire can be melted, the welding wire should be fed immediately and the heating should be stopped to avoid overheating and damage to the parent metal. Feed the welding wire until the molten solder fills the weld (because the molten solder penetrates into the weld through capillary action, you can stop feeding the welding wire when you visually see that the weld is full of solder to avoid unnecessary waste).

Cooling method:

Removing the welding gun after welding can let it cool naturally.

Attention: avoid aiming the flame at a certain point for a long time during welding, and the welding temperature should not exceed 630℃ to avoid burning the base metal.

Safety warning: Wear protective clothing, gloves and glasses (or protective mask) during brazing to prevent liquid brazing flux from splashing on the skin and causing burns.

Post-welding treatment:

After cooling, there is no need for further treatment, flux residue is visible but non-corrosive, does not absorb moisture, and is firmly attached. Suggest when necessary.

Remove by physical means, such as using a metal brush after soaking (if there are small burrs, you can polish them off with fine sandpaper).
