The college has eight teaching departments, including medical and health, electrical engineering, electronic and information engineering (including Novo Automotive College in China), economic and architectural engineering (including E-business College in South Campus), coal production and environmental safety, humanities, basic education and Jason Ice Sports College, and offers 18 enrollment major, involving 13 categories.

Vocational College was established in 2005 by the merger of Qitaihe Normal School and Qitaihe Adult Education College.
