The Macau Blue Card is issued by the Residence and Stay Affairs Office of the Macau Public Security Police Force. It contains the worker’s name, gender, position, employed company, labor service company, contract validity period, blue card number and other information. The main function of the blue card is to prove the identity of the worker.

To put it simply, it is the identity certificate that the Macau government allows you to work in Macau. Macau companies must have blue card quotas before they can recruit mainlanders to work here.
