Why did Xiamen Marine Police strengthen its patrol recently?

Recently, in order to cope with the peak of maritime tourism during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays in Xiamen, the third detachment of Xiamen Marine Police dispatched ships for 24-hour patrol to strengthen the safety publicity and control of tourist passenger terminals, maritime tourist boats and work boats.

During the period, the Marine Police sent high-speed motorboats with strong maneuverability to Xiamen Wuyuanwan Yacht Wharf, Xiangshan Yacht Wharf, Ferry Passenger Terminal, Gulangyu Sanqiutian Wharf and other popular attractions and related sea areas of Xiamen Port to carry out safety investigation and publicity activities. Marine police officers and soldiers actively communicate with tourists, dock managers and fishermen, issue leaflets on maritime tourism safety, explain matters needing attention in maritime tourism safety, remind passengers and citizens to tighten the string of maritime safety and sound the alarm bell of maritime safety.

Marine police officers and soldiers also introduced and popularized the maritime 1 10 alarm platform, which enhanced the masses' grasp and understanding of maritime 1 10, guided the masses to understand and support maritime 1 10 work, and established a correct alarm consciousness. On the day of the event, * * * distributed more than 800 publicity materials and answered more than 250 inquiries from the masses, which further improved the safety awareness and preventive ability of the masses.
